For a fellow music lover: Audeze headphones are a very high quality, good pair of headphones. They are made in pretty much any and every style of headphone: classic headphones, in-ears, ear-buds, etc. I’ve tried the classic black pair of headphones and they were actually really good. They were very comfortable to wear and had a lot of cool features.

The headphones weren’t made with a standard headphone jack but were instead made with an iPhone charger jack. This is super convenient for iPhone users who have upgraded their phones to the new iPhone 7 (which doesn’t have a headphone jack) but I didn’t really like that feature to be honest. It rules out everyone else who hasn’t upgraded their phone and everyone who isn’t an iPhone user.

Now, if you are an iPhone user it’s a great buy. The headphones are a few hundred dollars which is pretty normal for high quality headphones so I wasn’t too afraid of the price. Another cool feature the headphones have is the Audeze app that you have to install once you plug in the headphones. It’s sort of a hassle because you have to download the app in order to operate the headphones but the app allows you to master the sound of the headphones. You can adjust which decibels of sound you’d like to hear at any given time so if you’d like your music to be bass heavy or treble heavy then you’d have completely control over that.

For the average user, I think overall the headphones are a nuisance because there are so many other steps you’d have to be aware of like downloading the app and knowing how to adjust the sound settings and having an iPhone. But for those iPhone users who for instance are creating music and need to listen to their music played back in a specific way; it’s a great tool. I don’t recommend them for the average Joe though; it’s definitely for a music nerd.
