New fire artist alert and he goes by the name of Joyner Lucas. Last week, I had the pleasure of meeting Joyner backstage at the Heineken Green Room event in Brooklyn. I only planned on listening to two songs, but guys let me tell you- this guy impressed me. I ended up leaving the event at 12am from Brooklyn…I repeat Brooklyn. Joyner can perform and he raps about some genuine feels.
Joyner is definitely not your typical rapper. He is extremely artistic especially in his music videos. He debuted his first album earlier this year and is currently on tour. Some of my favorite songs are “Ultrasound” and “I’m Sorry.” You guys should check him out, you won’t be disappointed.
